Polish expat, in the UK more than half my life (OMG). Wales is home now. Found my little place. Views my own, no matter what the million sheep across the road say (no, really, there are millions of them out there!). OK, the dog may have the odd view…

May your birthday next year be a very happy one. With masses of good, happy days between now and then.

I spent my childhood in 80s Poland. Every time they had oranges in our state owned shop (twice a year!), my mum, sister and I would queue to get a kilo each. If NYC becomes like that, I’m going on a nostalgia trip!

Especially as it seems at least one of them knows exactly what they’re doing. Trump doesn’t strike me as intelligent enough to recognise when he’s been played. He’s probably frustrated that nobody’s listening to his genius ideas. Don’t they know who he is?!

Well, if that doesn’t do it, I don’t know what will.

Do you know, I have a very different reaction to this. It gives me rage that petty human foolishness spoils what is a blink of an eye in the vast Universe, ie my small and short existence. Just let me have my time here without constant anxiety and anger. All our lives mean little in the end.

Everyone knows that the way to control markets is to shout at them. Basic economics.

All I’m getting from this is that under those masks and combat gear, they are just small, pathetic men who target weak and frightened people to prove to themselves how tough and important they are. Hope you can all stand up to them like that lady.

Is he saying that Trump being - in Vance’s own words - ‘Hitler’ is OK now because it’s a sign of strength??

May as well look the part.

This pic is very odd. One side of his face fairly regular, other looks drunk.

How does THAT now feel like an innocent time…?!

That must be a relief to Trump. He probably couldn’t get to sleep wondering what Reform UK will make of his warmongering for peace.

This is the soundtrack of my childhood. I swear my grandma used to go weak in the knees for Demis.

Do you think this is how gazillionnaires shop? “Screw me if I know what it is! I’ll have three!”

I bet Andrew Tate has a garage-full of them. Cause he’s, you know, really manly.

Oh god, leave me alone! I was young and stupid and we didn’t have The Smiths in communist Poland, OK!

And that’s your whole problem, right there. The person with the most base, primitive and unpleasant instincts makes the most important decisions.

One could argue she embodies both: - strictest standards for kids - lax standards for herself
