Every day since Jan. 20, 2025 feels like the longest day of 2025. #nokings

Hmmm...maybe our US House and Senate members should take a lesson on how to support their peers when awful things happen to one of their own.

Apparently. I have no words.

The fact that you are directing us to the Amazon platform undercuts your credibility as a resistance organization. Bezos is an oligarch who has crushed the editorial freedom of a US media icon, routinely and repeatedly bends the knee, union busts...the list goes on. Time to rethink.

How prescient of Trump. Bombing literally as I write this.

Agree. Scarier yet, it's only the first such most chilling moment of likely many more to come.

They aren't morons at Meta/FB. They are complicit dupes.

That's what I've been saying. Everything, everywhere, all at once a la whack-a-mole.

Agree that the timing is absolutely an opportunistic distraction. Just because they, particularly the deployments, are intended to distract makes them no less dire.

Of course it gets it wrong @larryglickman.bsky.social. It's the failing NYT editors doing the usual.

Feels weird to click "love," but this needs to be amplified. This is the true narrative. Everyone needs to see it to understand how reality is being manipulated. As my son said this morning, we are literally seeing the movie "The Oath" unfold in real time.

While I agree that this is a milquetoast response, that she failed to discuss the threat to democracy, violation of posse comitatus, and yes, turns to largely scripted BS that is entirely tone deaf...she DOES answer the question before pivoting to the bill. Slow down, Aaron.

Serious question: Are we still caling it an administration? What distinguishes an administration from a regime?

This. Is. Perfect. Thanks for the reminder to return to reading McSweeney's regularly as I used to. Also, if you know McSweeney's, you probably also know XKCD.com. If not, check it out.

You're welcome! I am glad to hear that they are welcoming people at Market Days. I was kind of gobsmacked that the city wouldn't welcome the two events to coexist.

@nh50501.bsky.social it is my understanding from the national No Kings website that the Portsmouth Market Square protest was canceled because it conflicted with Portsmouth Market Days. There may be an alternate location. I don't know. Either way, the flyer may be incorrect.
