There were a lot of huge benefits of moving out of my last apartment. Getting away from Spectrum was one of them

That totally makes sense. Calculations and checks of them can only be as accurate as the data available. I'd ammend my comment about agents checking royalties to specify that this works for the Big 5 (how many are they now? Did they merge again?) where B&N are selling the book from the jump

As I understand it, this is a major benefit of going the more typical publication route with an agent. Your agent will (should!) go over all your royalty statements with a finetooth comb.

I said in an interview that I have a lot of empathy for you because you lost your dream, too. But Unbound's sales reports showing my second book as a flop when it actually sold out its print run was unfathomably cruel. Seeing Ingram's data, showing 10x the sales I was paid for, broke my heart.

"It’s not just the students: Multiple AI platforms now offer tools to leave AI-generated feedback on students’ essays. Which raises the possibility that AIs are now evaluating AI-generated papers, reducing the entire academic exercise to a conversation between two robots β€” or maybe even just one."

I've got a similar "process" 🀣 I suffer from needing to write down every thought I have about the plot until it forms an outline, and also not being able to make myself write the damn thing after I know the whole thing. Send help
