I hate it when stores even ask me to donate to their charity of choice at the cash register. I choose which charities I'll support and I will get the tax credit. I don't need to be guilted into it.

And imagine what his doubling of tariffs on steel will do to housing costs

I don't think that's why the King visited. Despite what DT thinks, Canada doesn't revolve around him.

I had supper last night with friends who go to Arizona a couple of times a year. They went this past February because the arrangements were made and couldn’t be canceled. They bought tickets for a stand up comedy show at a museum and it turns out the comedian was MAGA. They said it was brutal

I wonder if Bill Gates would actually be the richest man had he not instead chosen to spend his money making the world a better place?

And the incumbent was 6 months away from collecting his pension. Apparently the safest seat in Canada. Not taking any chances this time around.

Maybe that would solve some problems if they locked him up in the Vatican?

And if the economy is so fantastic, why is he blaming Biden?

Why? Since, according to her boss, Americans are profitting tremendously from the tariffs...

Nope, doesn't work that way MTG, certainly not in Canada. After spending my life trying to avoid buying Chinese, I now find myself, given a choice between US/China made, I'm going with China.

I've been starting to see more polls showing approval ratings in the 30s so, while I agree it depends on who you ask...at least the downward trend continues. And at the point where it must be starting to include maga voters who don't approve? Especially after the photos of him snoring at the funeral

Of course it's untrue. He has also bragged about having made deals with 200 countries. There are only 195 countries in the world.

But Liberals, please don't get complacent. I think the race is much tighter than the polls suggest and there's a lot of gaslighting going on. Let's not forget what happened to our American friends.

Is it possible to get a link for this to share on linkedin to combat some of the rhetoric on that platform? Thanks

That is an excellent explanation that I will remember and use going forward, especially the last sentence only without "legal" because that's pretty much the kind of writing I do! Thank you for clarifying.

I don't understand how he was able to amass that kind of wealth as an mp. Even if he didn't spend a dime of it, it doesn't add up.

Despite the fact that what he's saying is deadly serious and he's probably risking his life and freedom saying it, nobody can articulate this stuff in a clearer, yet funnier, manner than Rick Wilson.

I do a lot of writing/editing for lawyers, a couple of whom insist on sticking with the very formal way they were taught in law schoo, with no contractions. I don't like the style either but try to adapt my writing to suit my client and/or audience without seeing too stiff. I enjoy the challenge!

I also grew up Catholic but left the Church after learning about residential schools and then, as an exec in the fed PS fighting for years with them to pay what they owed Survivors. But I agree Francis tried, despite those around him. RIP

Yesterday on CBC a National Post reporter was complaining that the Liberals plan came so late while barely mentioning the fact there was no Conservative plan.

I was glad to hear the moderator in tonight's debate push the parties to provide a costed platform which Carney, and maybe Pollievre, said he would do this weekend. I miss the days when we had those prior to the debates so they could be questioned about them.
