How dull life would be without the occasional rollick.

…which presumably you have in the Caldwell Archives.
First autograph I ever got was Humphrey Lyttelton. He was miffed because I said it was for my dad, who was a big fan!

Perfectly understandable twisting of ‘rules’.
What a talent he had.

Another trip down memory lane - this kind of stuff was a big part of my early musical education, tuned into the radio, soaking it all up.

Coooool choice.
And educational - I don't think I knew Tony Allen was in JAPW.

I guess this explains your mention of them out of the blue yesterday.

Excellent choice.
One of those bands I never listen to, but always enjoy when I hear them (and then wonder why I never listen to them!)

I think so too!
This is from Kenya, but very influenced by Congolese music.

Just watched the longer clip. Excellent spot of time travelling.
Mike O came across as being a decent, down to earth kind of chap. I’m wondering where he is now. The Caribbean somewhere, I think.

I often wonder what my neighbours think of the (invariably relatively strange) music blasting out of my house every day!
I like to think of it as my contribution to the community. 😊

I was going to say, if you get bored you can skip to around the 3 minute mark, when the tempo changes and then again to about 5:12, when the snare kicks in magnificently and it all goes up another gear.
I love this stuff.

I liked that. New to me, of course.

Brilliant.
T. Rex will always have a special place in my musical heart. I remember hearing Telegram Sam in the car in 1972 (coming back from watching stock car racing) and something clicked in me.

Oh, that takes me back. Although by the time SG was on, I'd pretty much outgrown it.

Any more than I doubt you’d have any trouble making AI fake paint pots to suit your chosen tune! 🤔

They were an odd bunch..and consequently I enjoyed that.
Definite bonus points for that colour….although it’s becoming clear that almost anything can be the name of a colour if you google hard enough!

That is sad.....but to be honest, he's the kind of character that, not so long ago, I was surprised to find out was still alive.
What a contribution he made to music.

Funny you should say that. Moments before reading your comment, I was chuckling at another post.
