I strongly support assisted dying but would not have helped my mother who believed all her life that she should decide when to die. Hoarded sleeping pills. Never wanted the indignity of being kept alive. Developed dementia. Could not and still could not now exercise her choice.

I wouldn’t share a joke with anyone at a bus stop. What a weird thing to do. If someone did it to me as a white English London resident I’d edge as far away from them as possible.

It doesn’t matter for your challenge but the new ferry terminal in tangier is *some* way out of town

Oh I’d thought you’d be getting the ferry from Algeciras to Tangier.

I’m from the UK and really do not understand the love of supermarket sandwiches. I mean if there’s absolutely no alternative I would get one but try to avoid. Whatever the filling they taste the same. Crisps though….

I make felicity cloake’s granola. There are two. The one without spices. Think the egg white is just for clumping. I don’t bother.

Either it is unfair in which case explain why and change Or it isn’t unfair. If that’s the case then explain

Taylor of Gloucester. Not in itself scary but the illustration of the cat looking under the door scared me!

Once tried to advise some ukip councillors- not remotely interested. Didn’t care they knew nothing. Didn’t run that particular council but couldn’t have. Didn’t want to

I am still filled with gratitude to the health visitor who saw I was really struggling with breast feeding, understood I was not Producing enough and recommended mixed feeding. Life saver. Never looked back.

Trouble is this is not the only context in which lack of headphones is annoying. Cyclists with loudspeakers on their bikes; mobile discos etc. are we going to ban them all?

I thought in itself it was a great piece of tv but it marginalised girls in the same way as the manosphere types do. V little re victim and some suggestion she was to blame. Nothing about Jamie’s sister and what happened to Jade?

Fair enough. Some people think a bag of tomatoes is better

Yes but sometimes constituents wanted to thank them for casework or similar. £25 seemed reasonable.

I worked for local government- same regime applied to local elected councillors. No gifts above £25

Though I took issue with BBC world at one describing academies as ‘popular’. They were highly funded, enforced and fought against. There needs to be a way out. Which there isn’t.

@netflix.com what are you thinking? These guys are self confessed rapists and abusers. They are 100% toxic
comment in response to post
When does that happen? I’m 73
comment in response to post
And that is precisely why I never say I’m English (as a white woman). I don’t want to identify as something so obviously racist. I just say I’m from London, not feeling comfortable with British either

The guidance seems pretty bog standard legal advice. As ex local govt lawyer legal advice was more akin to risk management. This decision fine/within the law; that decision marginally more risky but prob ok. Third decision much more challengeable but yr decision and can find ways to make less risky
