When they don't have any quality of life left and they don't want to be there, it can be.

In contrast, our Metra commuter rail system has stairs on trains on all but one line. Entry doors aren't especially wide. Dwell times can cause major delays on weekend trains with limited number of open cars. Stupid combo.

It's also used for boat motors.

Level boarding AND mega wide doors - that seems like a winner for reducing dwell times at stations and keeping service on a reliable schedule.

NTA - The ignorant Texans were the a__holes. I don't envy the Canadian in that ridiculous situation.

That happened to me the other day, but it was a guy on an e-Divvy.

Just saw a post saying that he announced that he WILL veto. Yeah!
Giving police this power would likely cause a lot more harm than good, so I'm glad that he will veto.

Good! It's likely that more harm than good could come of it.

Going over to Racine is one of the better alternatives there. That area has enough interruptions to the grid that it limits the workable options.

My alder sucks - on this and nearly everything else.
This will undoubtedly provoke some violent responses and will not end well.

I'm always super careful when riding on Halsted near 63rd because road design enables plenty of bad driver behavior.

Meant to say PARKING-protected, which I'm pleased about because people are less likely to just park in the bike lane than under other arrangements. CDOT gave that section of Halsted a road diet of sorts - the car space was overly wide vs. what it needed to be before.

I see it regularly in my Chicago neighborhood.
