It's actually impressive how much worse the reality of a Trump second term is than I pictured. Thinking of all those protesting today!

We must always remember the enemy of the people is capitalism. Also Hi Siobhan you rock!

Pretty sure he just made up those two terms but really both of them are offensive

Yes if you read the article it spells out that dismissal in this case means that they are not being deported. It's like cancelling a criminal trial and then having the cops ambush the defendants and taking them to jail anyway. It's subversion of due process which is anti democratic.

I've literally never even seen this kind of thing be talked about with him but sure? Would love to know what parts are believed to be racist or sexist as I've never heard him say anything nearing that. I'm not unwilling to listen but often find these attacks in bad faith.

I'm seeing some deflection here. Would love to know why you think he's so bad? I listen to facts and reason, if there was proof that these people aren't worth respecting I would be open to it. I'm not as gullible as you are making me out to be I assure you.

AOC was advocating for more in that bill at the time, important things were dropped and she did not consider it acceptable. I had to look up Bernie's record for gun control and found the 1993 bill where he was looking for a shorter review period on behalf of rural gun owners. 1/2

Sorry just realized you aren't the one talking about that bill disregard that point but it's a longshot to say they aren't doing anything else.

Passing bills is important sure but it feels like we are leaving out critical information. How many bills were put forward that were put down because the centrists in the party decided that it wasn't in their best interests? AOC was advocating for more in that bill, they are still not the enemy.

That's actually not true. People seem to forget that their job is to call out bad policy and vote against it and introduce policies to combat the problems they see as important. They are both continuing to do both of those things. There is so much ground to cover and the media does not show enough.

Fighting hatred cannot be done without hope, and joy helps to give it. If these rallies were the only thing they were doing I'd agree with you though.

I was not aware. Isn't a facility that is being paid by the U.S government a little different from a cult compound though?

I'm just wondering what happens if someone high profile goes to El Salvador themselves and starts demanding answers. Honestly the only way I see us getting through this is if we make it so visible that it cannot be ignored.

Just wondering. What's socialism in your view? What about socialism has anything to do with the last election?

Now we need to join the movements together worldwide. In light of what's happening for travellers from Canada into US, we cannot be silent. Those who are speaking out in private messages are being denied entry. When we are silenced we yell till we are heard.

But seriously though can we get the ball rolling on declaring Americans fleeing the regime refugees. They definitely meet the criteria at this point.

Ok I can see the point and withdraw my complaint. I'm honestly gonna mention it to my team and not fret too much about it since it's for a good cause!

As a grocery store worker, maybe find a less annoying thing to do? I support buying Canadian but this is just obnoxious.

I attended my first pride last year as a straight man (who is in the process of overcoming a lot of internalized misogyny and homophobia). It was the most loved and cared for I have ever felt in a crowd. Truely healed a part of me 🏳️🌈

Yeah your dumb as a post and I'm done talking with you but before I go it says k-12 as in seniors in highschool which if you don't think they're old enough to read shit then I got bad news for you. Most of the people you are defending refuse to pass laws banning child marriage but oh no scary books.

Book banning, a form of censorship, occurs when private individuals, government officials or organizations remove books from libraries, school reading lists or bookstore shelves because they object to their content, ideas or themes.

Here's a definition of a book ban since you seem to think rebranding it is gonna "win" you this argument. Btw this isn't a debate, it's you being wrong and refusing to listen to facts.

Man it's always so clear which side is worth listening to and it's not the ones that constantly get asked to prove shit. You'll take some opinions at face value because you already agree with them and try to disprove others because you don't wanna listen to them. Your opinion is truly worthless.

Yeah you can Google them if you're interested. I don't need to prove I know what I'm talking about to you. I'm not the one making ignorant ass statements

Lol seriously? Have you not been paying any attention? Republicans have been banning books for a decade at least now.
comment in response to

Having a bunch of guns means nothing when you have absolutely no discipline. There are many ways to kill a person and both dildos and bongs are actually viable. We also have a military lead by people who read books instead of banning them.

Their vocabulary is based off the less than 100 words Mango Mussolini knows. I saw a comment the other day saying that since Trump "ended" DEI white people won't be getting fired for saying the N word.

No person is transitioning to be better at a sport than others. These little talking points are what starts us vs them mentality and that is why you will get negative responses from this. If you wanna be respectful you treat them as equal to someone born biologically the same gender.

I mean have you seen that one of the doge losers is leaving because of racist posts? It's still happening and it's clear from your comment you have no idea what DEI even means. What does racist white people getting fired have to do with it.
