My radical position is that congress should remove a president if he pronounces that his predecessor was assassinated and replaced by a clone

Ukraine could’ve launched the attack on civilian population centers, like Russia does to them daily. Instead, they chose a strictly military target - the very bombers being used to kill Ukrainian civilians. A brilliant operation solely designed to defend their own people.

It’s odd to me that “we need to restore Christian values to Europe” is not coded as anti-Semitic even though it is, quite literally, anti-semitism’s original form.

MAKARY: 88 percent of American kids, their parents have said no to the covid shot last season. So the vast majority of Americans are saying no. BRENNAN: I don't want to crowdsource my health guidance. You don't go with popularity, you go with data.

THESE are the tattoos we should be worried about… Valknut: historically Norse, used by some white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups.

So glad to see that cursive writing isn't a lost skill after all. #WestAdams

"If what you're doing is legitimate and lawful, why do you need to cover your face?”

Overheard: Apparently Zelenskyy had some cards, and he didn’t need a suit.

No matter who you are or who you love, you are welcome here. Happy Pride Month, Minnesota!

Spare us the fake outrage.

Opinion | Mobilize the Alumni As colleges hire high-powered lobbyists to battle threats to federal funding, Lisa Akchin writes, they shouldn’t overlook another powerful asset for advocacy: their alumni. #HigherEd #EDUSky #AcademicSky bit.ly/43cDNFM

This isn't hypothetical. The coming days are bringing higher prices and disrupted supply chains, this time not because of a pandemic or a war, but self-inflicted by our country's government under this president.

The VA has abruptly ended the only low-interest, affordable loan modification option for thousands of vets who are behind on their mortgages. If you're a vet at risk of foreclosure, we want to hear your story.

Dr. Anthony Fauci urges Americans not to accept "Normalization of Untruths".

And history will repeat itself unless Republicans join us and stand up to these across the board tariffs.

Oh.

We tried mass tariffs in 1828, and it crashed the economy. We tried again in 1930, and it crashed the economy. Third time’s the charm, I guess.

There's a lot going on, God knows, but don't miss that the President of the United States is using the full force of the Federal government, as well as tax dollars, to punish a state because its Governor... refused to do as he instructed. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/02/u...

Donald Trump is disappearing and deporting people with permanent legal status just because he disagrees with their political views. This is the playbook of authoritarians and dictators. And if he can do it to them, he can do it to anyone.

I'm no good with patterns. Can someone help me out here?

They have our business!

At one of his frequent press conferences (because he loves being on TV), I'd love it if some reporter piped up with, "What do you say to people who call you a know-nothing narcissistic asshole, Mr. President?"

Trump is considering abolishing FEMA and forcing states to deal with natural disasters. “I’d rather see the states take care of their own problems,” he said. I wonder how Florida, Texas, Louisiana, North Carolina & South Carolina feel about “taking care of their own problems” without federal help.

I got to explain the 14th amendment to my class today. Many didn’t know it was a reconstruction amendment. This is why one of the best things we can do is provide the history behind what leads to the madness. People truly don’t know.

✨🌈 The more you know 🌈✨

The truth of January 6th can't be erased. Watch the pardoned criminals brutally attacking police inside the Capitol and see what some call 'patriotism.' No spin, just facts. adamkinzinger.substack.com/p/revisiting...

Why do Florida's millions of workers keep putting up with a system the Republicans who run our state designed to fail?!? Probably because stories like these live exclusively behind paywalls.

If your spouse needs a safe word with her friends to protect herself from you, you should be in therapy. Or in prison. Not the Secretary of Defense.

Workplace raids have begun—none of these people were rapists or criminals. Even if you’re not a US citizen, you still have due process in this country. 3 workers in Newark were taken into custody by ICE w/out a warrant. One, a veteran, endured the humiliation of having his military docs questioned.

I’m done dating humans. I’ve got a better idea—

Can’t say I feel the same, Baby Purps.

If Trump doesn't want to get sentenced on Friday he can just flee to Venezuela or Moscow

Chapter 5 “On Tyranny” @timothysnyder.bsky.social is for all to remember the obligations of professions. Doctors-Hippocratic Oath to refrain from causing harm or hurt, to prescribe only beneficial treatments. Lawyers-Oath to uphold the Constitution. Police, firemen too We need to hold them to this.

This man and a small group of capitol police officers singlehandedly saved our democracy four years ago. In November, 77 million Americans said "to hell with them" and voted for the insurrectionists. Your "Back the Blue" flags are a pathetic disgrace and your patriotism is bullsh*t.

One more reminder about January 6, 2021 especially for Jews who support Trump. There were people in the crowd at the Capitol wearing antisemitic shirts, because no matter what they are protesting, there will always be people who blame us.

Wow! Biden completely outsmarted Trump with his executive order to permanently ban drilling in 625 million acres of ocean. Biden didn’t just sign it, he invoked the 1953 Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act. Trump can ONLY undo it with an act of Congress or in the courts. Dark Brandon strikes again!

First post 😬 Hope you enjoy 💕 open.substack.com/pub/alanawul...

After some Costco shareholders asked the company to end its DEI policies, this was their response: “Our board has considered this proposal and believes that our commitment to an enterprise rooted in respect and inclusion is appropriate and necessary." This explains why Costco is an industry leader!

Me, a public health person, just sitting over here reflecting on the fact that the US has experienced a 7% increase in infant mortality post-Dobbs. Like, do you realize what that says about this society from an ethical perspective? That we made policy choices that caused this? #PHEthx

I don’t know what to do. It’s not safe to live in the US anymore. I have an undiagnosed chronic illness & chronic pain (thanks, shitty healthcare system), therefore work is limited or non existent. This makes emigrating nearly impossible. So I just get to suffer & die? God bless America, I guess.
