I didn't think the original could be improved on but you managed it

Could be related to how well they integrate into particular lipid composition membranes? Could also be linked to the CMC as presumably you want very little free detergent in there?

Thanks for the lovely comments! It was a bit of a mission, especially as one of the projects was during Covid. I think we learned a lot along the way and can hopefully make some useful recommendations.

I never wear a suit to work and if people want to judge me so be it. But, ultimately, it's about delivering as an employee and a decent human being

Even as an England fan, she's been one of my favourite cricketers in the last 2 decades. Deserves all the plaudits.

Have you exhausted your internal complaints procedure? If you've not got the result you want from that, go to the ombudsman. You'll likely need evidence that supervision was deficient and below the standards set out by the uni which, for a PhD, can be quite minimal. DM me if you want

Oh, and know the basics. By which I mean first year undergrad basics as we try and throw you an easy question first up and you want to be able to answer it!

You're already the expert on this. You've spent the last 3-4 years preparing and have literally written the book on it. Your examiners just want to have a chat about your work, check you did it and see what is novel. Don't stress (easy to say from the other side of the desk!)
