The RFU renamed it and banned TV etc from referring to it as Twickenham - it has to be Allianz Twickenham I assume Allianz paid a lot for the renaming

Oh well, there's always next year Lots to think about for next season. Not perhaps to discuss today Good second half of the season, but just fell short when it really mattered

Several chats with mates who have had interesting conversations with family members who are now Reform and are non plussed by the fact that the reason given is, just not happy with the big parties who have 'failed the UK' since 1997 Feels like conversations I had with Americans 2016

Well, I'm not sure the right/left analysis works anymore on the ground. Yes Reform are RW if you look at what policies they have, but this is all deeper than that From Blair onwards we have (Brown & Johnson excepted!) sharp suited London based managers in charge. People see them as the enemy

Keep rereading this headline on BBC and thinking, wtf! BBC News - Why Reform was the other big winner in the Hamilton by-election - BBC News www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Litmus test is ask a Reform voters what they key policies are. They struggle to give you two, let alone five

Good point It's really just an extension of Ref vote It's a protest. Many not sure what they are protesting about. They are just fed up of in their mind being ignored Farage is just tapping in to the angry vibe Look how clueless (perhaps deliberately) their new councillors are
comment in response to post
Exactly, but it's not new of course The problem is as is happening in the States atm is that people suddenly realise it's freedoms as defined by Trump on in our case Farage which don't look much like freedom's in a bog standard democracy

Probably I'm guessing that somewhere down the line Reform is going to cause a confrontation on the law to get publicity out of what they see as, the law is wrong I'm guessing Kent CC might be where they pull that one πŸ˜‰

'Tricked' might be doing a bit of heavy lifting there imo A complete lack of critical reasoning works for me

As an extra thought I'm wondering how officers are going to explain to these no regulation whippersnappers that the vast majority of the Council's work in these two areas is constrained by law: safeguarding, child protection etc Going to be some "interesting times" for local reporters

And then there is this I think we know that at some point the safety catch is going to be turned off by one of those ICE agents I think we know what that might lead to. Trump will have a lot to answer for bsky.app/profile/jaco...

Get all that. First degree was history and specialised in US history and yes the inequalities are ghastly, but that can't take away from things like the majesty of Grand Canyon and the national parks for example It can get better but only if people listen to reason, not snake oil salesmen
