Its not so much the squeak that’s funny, it’s that that’s the only sound :) No jubilation, no celebration or sense of grandeur..the only better sound track would’ve been balloons deflating.

The potential of that imaging is amazing!! Also love the idea that it can lead to both better understanding as well as better questions for future study!

Immediate follow! Thank you for sharing this, putting it out there and putting it in words can be such a challenge in its own right!

So definitely adding fatherfucker to go along with my tendency to say “son of a dick”. Also going to start working in smeg and pimhole for fun! That was the point of the list, right? Making sure you’re using all the best offensive words available?

My immediate reaction to the news of the pope passing should not have involved that vile little man, but it did, complete with expletives.

Also received survivors benefits ( that’s actually how we found out my biological dad had passed). When depression nearly “won” when I was a teen it’s what helped pay for what the insurance didn’t cover. Those who don’t get it should consider themselves lucky, not attack blindly.

Adding to the stigma already attached to mental health by providing either cover or blame for horrible behavior needs to stop. Hate is not an illness, nor is bigotry or violence.

Note to self: when writing Schumer or his office use a “Dick and Jane” format. One syllable words only.

Ugh, please don’t write off the book recommendation or sentiment because there is no edit option.

Running on anger and vitriol alone is so damaging, seriously, it’s a quick way to loose yourself and your humanity. Would strongly recommend reading Victor E Frankl’s : Man’s Search for Meaning to any who attack others for finding hope or relief in things other than being on the attack.

Not sure if this applied to all the locations but my local one also made sure it was accessible for those with mobility issues. Peaceful, powerful and inclusive :)

Sums up their mindset perfectly..when your sole measure of worth/value is monetary and you’re used to being able to get your way with it, of course this is the only possibility.

UPDATE: At 7:19 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, Booker broke the record for the longest individual Senate speech previously set by Strom Thurmond of South Carolina in 1957. bsky.app/profile/pbsn...

It does imply we’d get to vote again, which is a weird step up from him implying there’d never be a reason to again when he ran for this term?

Such lovely options! I’d go with the one whose name is eluding you :) also taking this as a sign to get inky!

You forced me to do the research, only to find out:Trump is the only president never to attend even one. The one time he “considered” attending was 2019, when there was not a comedian host.

Loving the term homo-cretinus! The ire that could stir here in the US pains me but also makes it so much more satisfying to borrow/tuck away for future use.

Last night I got to experience that fleeting moment of bliss that comes with having all the dishes done :)

Second that notion, even just sharing tips/knowledge here would be of so much help to people who truly don’t know and haven’t had your experiences.

Far too young to remember but lucky in that I got to know my great grand parents and still have my grandma who remembers. Managed to absorb some habits/knowledge that until now seemed quirky. Genuinely feel those who can ought to really pull together a new version of “victory gardens”.

I remember a half joke about where I grew up that you couldn’t walk more than a block without coming across either a bar or church.

Once spent the night at an airport due to flight delays, surreal being someplace that’s usually bustling when it’s absolutely empty.

I had to have multiple surgeries on my left arm, genuinely thought maybe just maybe that would help sort it, it did not. If I’m feeling particularly stubborn I make the argument it’s relative ( think of stage right and left, the fact you have to say your left, my left or my other left )
comment in response to

Agreed, but likely biased because I fall under “all of the above”…for me, not having an innate sense of left vs right leads to some laughably awkward/humbling moments :)

I swear all the hate, hostility and absolute shitty awfulness is channeled somehow from that lovely country into those geese. That’s my theory anyhow, every time a Canadian says they’re sorry a goose gets its wings ( teasing with absolute love of Canada to be clear).

But did you end up with actual butter? Will absolutely account for, even write in, “allow for/endure dairy Vesuvius” for x amount of time/ until your bravery is rewarded with the most satisfying butter.

Any chance your tour extends to the East coast..trying to not be too particular by asking for my specific area but also eagerly anticipating reading your take on Canadian geese because my area KNOWS.

And there’s the “erasures”…if you don’t fit their sad, sorry, pasty “masculine” mold you have no real place in history or the future they envision.

And here I was thinking the artist was too kind. Mind you the opportunity to really make the orange pop with more blue and assuring him those colors are compliments seems irresistible to me.
