This allowed Lauren stay at the front of the race and cross the line in 12th - an amazing result for her first World Tour race. Best wishes to both Kate and Maddie - hope you both recover soon.

However, in the latter part of the stage, she withdrew from the race due to illness. After the break was caught, the team positioned Lauren well for an attack, ahead of the Saltburn bank climb.

Stage 1 will be one for the climbers, with 1800m of elevation in under 100km, while Stage 2 will see the team lap the city of Stavanger six times on Sunday evening. 📺 For those watching at home, both stages will be available to watch on Discovery+/TNT Sports.

(3/3) The race is even more special to us this year, given we are a Scottish based team, as we will have two stages in Scotland. It is very exciting to be able to race in front of a home crowd on roads familiar to the team, riders and followers.”
