real sets! and thinking hard about how to maximise them.
it's easy enough to think up a story - how do you curtail and shape it to work so you spend your budget better on the things that matter

modernity /recent times is definitely stripping too much whimsy from the world

sadly due to the last conservative govt's insanity we (Australia) no import Dodge RAMs and many slightly smaller trucks are way too prevalent (utes as we say).
those three top utes are about 30% smaller than a RAM

there's only one way you pump out columns every 3 days (and sometimes 2 days in a row) - write about nothing :/

interesting question is if that counts as a prop lol

could be, that's a good creative answer.
it is a common trope of SW that many many planets seem to either be forgotten about as places that have been used recently/in the last few centuries, or aren't sufficiently charted for everyone to know about them

possibly even she deliberately retired from that type of thing, but that knowledge and experience was still there.
can't fault the show for not deviating into her story or action scenes for Kleya in S1

helluva weird expectation if you're only trying to have a conversation, instead of expecting every post to blow up no?
you see a reply repost, you click if it's interesting. can you imagine every single reply in every single thread like the above?

if I know the person / people better or it's a not-anxious situation, eye contact is not so bad.

I have definitely embraced this idea, though not in so many words - disregarding the awkwardness I can feel (thanks ADHD!) because I know that as long as I look back at people often enough, I can make much more sense with little eye contact

same as Star Trek. as early as TNG, it's clearly technologically possible, but would be destructive for narratives all over the shop, so nope

this is it, listening devices and CCTV just don't predominate as a surveillance thing in Star Wars. subtext of them in Andor was that: a) it was the Rebels using them
and b) they were a huge pain in the ass that almost got everyone killed and probably not worth it

can also confirm that jokes were made (probably all of them terrible, and insensitive) at the time I was in school right after it. (1st year of high school, Australia (!))

I've been noticing his columns since I assume he started, 6 months or so ago. put the first one down as just odd, then it seems like his brief is being dumb on purpose.
they're all like this, I don't read past seeing who the author is anymore

I really hate how much of a rag it's become. maybe I'm just noticing it more, but when you know what to look for in headline word choice.. the clickbait is exhausting to ignore

don't know how they did it but they found someone worse than Parnell. more vacuous at least
I was honestly intrigued at how someone might argue for keeping it alive, the beauty of writing out the amount you spend.. and it's this doofus

yep. an invitation to discuss rather than a continuation of hostilities
