I'm in the UK, and we tend to view these kinds of ideas with skepticism.
There are Creationists and fundamentalists, but they don't have the sway that they have in the states.

Moviedrome was the highlight of our week when we were in our twenties.
Alex Cox provided a refreshing counter to the London centric presenters that dominated the airwaves.
