We get wildlife in the area - deer, rabbits, turkeys, groundhogs, coyotes, even a bobcat! We picked a fence that allows many of them to move freely & kept a fence-free corridor for the most-transited spot. Well, Hugo saw the turkeys and SPRINTED FULL SPEED HEADFIRST INTO THE NEW FENCE. (He's ok)

@arsenalvisionpodcast.com said something similar this week and I agree completely. Everyone has opinions (good!) but let's not pretend this is an easy call. Arguments in all directions, and will be all to easy to claim it was obvious in retrospect.

That one was easy for me. Where I struggle is with AI. I find myself reflexively opposed. I think it encourages lazy thinking. People humanize it in strange and unsettling ways. Environmental impact. Etc. But if I deny the clear advances & usefulness of the tech I am doing myself a disservice.

One example: 1) Democratic leaders should retire earlier and do more to encourage young talent. 2) We should blame Republicans for the policies that they pass. I saw people fighting over these all day today. Nobody was convinced of anything because both things are true and eminently defensible.
