Struck by how quickly it’s gone Orwellian. The Department of Justice protects criminals and prosecutes the innocent. Health and Human Services is singularly obsessed with spreading disease. The Department of Education is working tirelessly to make us dumber. Homeland Security makes us less safe.

The NYPD and ICE mistakenly arrested a Chilean woman who is a permanent resident in New York City and left her poor frightened 12 year old daughter on the street alone. She was released approximately six hours later. This is the fearful state of America.
