You can listen to our very own Creative Producer and cultural historian, Debbie Challis, chatting about some of the most iconic and oldest titles from our collection on the latest episode of Alex Andreou's 'Podyssey'... podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/a...

Taken me a while to get to the latest episode of @alexpodyssey.bsky.social that explores the myth of Cassandra. Wow, yet another powerful tale, this time of womanhood, fortelling of bad news and the negation of women's voices. My activist film-maker daughter loved it! Bravo @sturdyalex.bsky.social

I second this.

This series is, by miles, the best thing you could be listening to right now.

Another beautiful and insightful episode by @sturdyalex.bsky.social. This podcast series continues to entertain, enlighten and enthral me in equal measures. If you aren’t listening to these you are missing out. Subscribe now! Thank you to @pimlicat.bsky.social and @mrkennycampbell.bsky.social too

I love the team that has organically assembled around this project. Curiosity is the best quality.

This is an excellent - and thought provoking for activists - listen from @alexpodyssey.bsky.social 👇🏼 podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/a...

Ah that night in Olympia . . . Reading a book! 😂 And this is the book - 32 years on. I read all the notes that too &, unlike my friends, mixed my ouzo with water to make it a long cold drink. I do have quite a few other translations of Sappho now but this is my first love.

🏛️ BONUS: No thing is just one thing 🏛️ @sturdyalex.bsky.social in conversation with cultural historian @poisonchallis.bsky.social about the compulsion to explore not just one piece of the puzzle, but how the pieces connect. 🎧 open.spotify.com/episode/30XY... 🍏 podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/a...

Another thoughtful, wide-ranging and thoroughly excellent episode of Podyssey - this time focusing on Cassandra. www.podbean.com/ea/dir-y9azs...

Listen to this. Don’t argue. Just do.

Loving @sturdyalex.bsky.social’s Podyssey. It’s a lovely little oasis. Highly recommend!

Honestly, you're not going to get much for a fiver these days, especially not at this level of quality.

Go on. You know you want to. Not much on the Internet is as good as this.

He does not miss. Cassandra, the "me too" movement, snakes, chronic illness, and a little bit of opera. Yes please. PS Apollo doesn't come out of this well.

Pimping this, because it's THAT good.

Light, comfort, entertainment and knowledge in a world where these things can be hard to find. I'm in.

Go listen to @alexpodyssey.bsky.social - @mrjamesob.bsky.social says so open.spotify.com/episode/345Z... New ep dropping this weekend I believe - cannot wait 🥰

What a treat this bonus ep of @alexpodyssey.bsky.social on archeology is @sturdyalex.bsky.social podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/a...

@alexpodyssey.bsky.social just gets better. Listening to this in bed with what used to be called a Summer cold. Cassandra: for all the scientists and seers and the marginalised who are ridiculed or ignored. And for the “hysterical” women whom doctors, schools and the law dismiss. Make a fuss!

CASSANDRA is yet another magnificent episode of my favourite podcast @alexpodyssey.bsky.social . As Gide said, “Everything that needs to be said has already been said, but since no one was listening everything needs to be said all over again.” Bravo @sturdyalex.bsky.social

Another fabulous episode — surely there’s nothing else quite like this in the world of podcasts 🐍

I love where @sturdyalex.bsky.social takes us with each episode of this podcast. Brain food, yes; also a romp across cultures, genres and through time. But at the end of each one I feel I have been told a fascinating story, about the life and after-life of a tale we think we knew something about.

I’m in.

Thank you, Alex, for keeping me company on a long bus ride home yesterday. I saved this episode for that journey and oh boy, was it worth it. Exquisite.

Dear reader, I've listened to all of them One released tears, all of them made me feel understood. So if I felt that, and most listeners feel similarly. the world is not so lonely after all. Kind wishes, an inhabitant

And after you are all done with Sunday School, make sure you are all caught up with Podyssey. The latest episode on Cassandra is a perfect introduction to the series, if you haven't yet dipped your toe. “A man with an easy lie will always be believed above a woman with a hard truth.”

Alex Andreou's #Podyssey is so subtle and humorous. Highly recommended.

I'm late to this game, but this is genuinely enjoyable

some money via Ko-fi to help fund series 2 of the wonderful @alexpodyssey.bsky.social If you like the show and you can afford it, you should help to keep it going. And if you haven't heard it yet then I'd urge you to give it a listen.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every episode so far and this one is no exception Something i always wondered about Cassandras is why they don’t just give up with the warnings since nobody listens Mystery solved
