Not sure how well it would have worked for me. All my focus would be on the fact that there was a big scary helmet covering my head. I bet a lot of horror stories were written.

Ginger nuts are my favourite dunking biscuits. They need a longer dip than most so it also introduces a thrilling sense of jeopardy.

Yeah, it was a long way to go & many years past. Sunrise was rainy & foggy but Sunset was warm, clear & magical. Much laughter, sporadic music and 100% friendly people - both locals & visitors. We spent 3 weeks on Lewis at Breasclete and Breanish. A favourite holiday that I still think about often.

Beautiful. Stayed at Breasclete in 1999 while visiting Callanish for the Summer Solstice. After previous Solstices at Stonehenge, Lewis was both a figurative and a literal breath of fresh air.

A brilliant storyline that I'd be bang up for. That's why he was late. It was a messy job and he had to get changed in a hurry. no time to bury the body so he's stashed it temporarily in an empty room at Grey Gables. #thearchers #GrizzlyGreyGables

Ooh, and also Can's Unlimited Edition. Mate sold it (unheard) to me at school and then absolutely refused to believe that I liked it. Insisted I was just pretending and that nobody liked it really. Still my favourite Can album.

We had Match of the Day but sounding like it was played on car horns. Our current one plays Boys & Girls Come Out to Play from what sounds like a haunted music box. Eerie and slightly sinister but I love it.

Saw your original post, liked it and then got wondering why I often see The Archers trending. I like The Archers and sometimes post about it but can it possibly be the most trending thing in the world? Thought I'd read your replies and find out the answer. Still don't have a clue.

When hanky-panky's specifically mentioned it usually results in progeny. Last time it was Fallon & Harrisons mucky weekend. Only time I remember when it didn't was Sid & Jolene's steamy shower scene. Pure filth. #thearchers

@countarthurstrong.bsky.social Live in Nottingham a few years ago. And I wasn't the only one. People around me were doubled up, some in pain and begging for it to stop. He's always top quality but on this particular night something special happened.

Outrageous that Clint Eastwood & General Saint's Two Bad DJ is in that exhibition. Cracking album with a brilliant cover.

Yeah, good point actually. I was hoping there might be some empathy from Helen but it's unlikely. #thearchers

My favourite - In the dying days of punk when power pop was thought to be the next big thing The Snivelling Shits decided to jump on the bandwagon by changing their name to The Fab Shits.

Very nice. Containing what I (usually) say is my all-time favourite read -The Glass Bead Game - and the book I'm currently reading. I'm two stories from the end of the H G Wells. Interesting but some very unpleasant old fashioned ideas. Lovely display.

Loved him from the start whenhe was a right cranky old bugger. And he had one of my favourite lines ever. Shula at church, Alistair at work, someone came looking for them and Jim said 'They're out serving God and mammals.'

We went to our local cinema last week when it was student discount day. I asked for two full price adult tickets and the nice lady said 'You look like students to me' and charged us a fiver each. We are 64 and 63.

He could team up with your other mate, Fats Morgana and together they can solve supernatural/sci-fi crimes. Like Sapphire and Steel but with more pudding.
