Uh huh ... there's no way she resigns and there's no way Trump fires her. There's also no way she gets impeached.

They are expected to follow lawful orders, not follow unlawful ones, and know the difference. 2/2

I think there has been some skeptical testimony from them in committee hearings. I wouldn't expect them to speak about politics publicly, though - that's not something an officer does without putting their commission at risk. 1/2

They have written Project 2025 and permanent authority for the President to do what he must now claim an emergency to do into a 1500-page budget bill, which they are now trying to jam down the Senate's throat so Trump can sign it. WE KNOW WHERE THEY STAND, SIR! 2/2

Sorry, but no. They've already said they approve of it; in fact, Speaker Johnson has said Newsom should be tarred and featheres and Padilla should be censured. Asking them that is giving them a platform for their lies and propaganda. 1/2

The Trump administration is bringing armed force to what should have been a policy debate. I don't know what options we have left; there's clearly no reasoning with them.

She has a 1st amendment right to *say* that. But actually *doing* it? That's kinda different, Ms.Noem.

The letters are AI-written according to their website. That's not something I'm down with.

BTW, apparently Speaker Johnson is calling for the Senate to censure Senator Padilla!

I don't do bots. I am sending an email to my Representative though, and I've suggested a motion to vacate to several members of the House here on Bluesky. Speaker Johnson calling for tarring and feathering Governor Newsom was the breaking point for me.

Thank you! You only need a few Republican Senators who have had enough of this to send a message to the President that he can't ignore. My Senators (Oregon) are both Democrats.

I don't believe a single word out of Noem's mouth. She and Trump are coming into California with big honkin' chips on their shoulders and shooting off their mouths trying to intimidate people. I think it was pre-planned.

I don't think censure is strong enough. I think a motion to vacate is the correct tactic. Force a public vote where GOP members of the House have to publicly support this. All of them, because the Democrats will unify behind Jeffries like they did in 2023.

IIRC they got an indictment in New Jersey yesterday.

As near as I can tell, Speaker Johnson supports this. If that is indeed the case, I think a motion to vacate is in order.

They knew who he was. I think the detention was planned ahead of time. Same with the member of the House in New Jersey. The GOP is using force against Democratic elected officials deliberately.

Put a camera on any Republican; you will see/hear a full-throated endorsement of the regime's cruel agenda and a condemnation of Democrats as criminals who must be prosecuted, or even tarred and feathered. Trump has sent troops to what should be a policy debate. 3/3

This time is different. The Trump regime is portraying peaceful protesters as violent criminals and multi-cultural cities as war zones that must be pacified by masked soldiers with crowd control munitions. The dogs and fire hoses are gone - for the moment. 2/3

*Now* the Lynx have winter hats! All winter I tried to get one - nuttin'. I just looked at the summer hats though. Sky looks pretty good; I wish they'd fix their team. ;-)

At this rate I will have to get a non-Aces hat for the summer. Gonna check out Lynx, unless Portland comes up with some merch soon.

I'd settle for the media just not putting Republicans on camera. Let them *buy* media for their campaign.

It's a good thing I don't work for ABC because I'm gonna call the president Bashar al-Trump.
