No worries! I just love that in each book of the trilogy she has written that one section that really makes the world stop for a moment while you read, weep and then put yourself back together. You've made me really look forward to reading it now!

I've been saving the last one to take on holiday next week. One of those series I will be sorry to finish, knowing I'll never read it for the first time again. I will look forward to those four pages!

I love her Ithaca trilogy - beautiful, lyrical, heartbreaking, funny. Her description of Orestes having to reluctantly kill his mother Clytemnestra reduced me to tears. And the wisdom of Penelope, constantly worrying about Odysseus but at the same time furious with him - well, we've all been there!
