the story felt like watching a movie reviewer pick apart the plot. i don't think its the fault of the author, its just the cultural environment we find ourself in now.You either not acknowledge known tropes and annoy people or do acknowledge and take ppl out of the story.

My thoughts on (no spoilers) are that the author was concerned about not doing cliches alot.It made for a case study on the effect Pop culture on media of today.Reading it was like talking to my sister when she quotes memes mid convo and i can see the exact YouTube video she watched.

When i was thinking of a feminine name as an alternate to my masc one, i thought of Alice like my account and it strict me, all the names i thought of where white ppl names. Changing me name, i am cutting the last strand tieing me back to my birth culture

Apparently no one gives a shit about one of my most traumatic experience, when my father threaten me into slaughtering that sheep for Eid.And that was just the slaughtering, never mind all the other times i had to haul the meat around.

It appears in this culture not eating red meat to begin is a sin in of itself. A ate chicken and tuna but apparently thats not enough. Mom has been accusing me of being a Hindu.The way she says it, you would think its a slur

Thanks, i wished for a cat for a while now and almost convinced my parents to get one but they refused at least moment as they thought about it more. Between my sisters probable allergy and my Mother heart allergies, it wouldn't have been safe
