I agree, rights shouldn’t be taken for granted. That’s exactly why we’re upset that so many who gained them decades ago turned around and voted for people who stripped them from others. You replied directly to me, and I didn't say a thing about age.

Young voters have turned out in record numbers in recent elections—especially in 2018 and 2020—often overwhelmingly supporting progress. Voting alone isn’t enough to stop this authoritarian creep. Blame the rigged system, but not apathy of young people.
