i really can't impress enough on young people that if you commit to not using AI you will be blessed by the promethean fire of knowledge and everyone around you will think you are a god for being able to do shit on your own and use your brain to have critical thoughts like a functional human being

This right here is so important. Ideas are cheap, anyone can have an idea. The challenge and skill comes in executing that idea in a clever and satisfying way. Lots of people think the idea is the important part, but it’s only the beginning of a long process, and LLMs rob you of that process.

do the people obsessed with 'age in bio' not realize kids can lie? it's totally meaningless if your goal is legality verification, and most adults don't even think about their exact age hardly at all since after 21 there's no meaningful milestones.

don't offer things you aren't willing to give. especially not 'just to be polite'. lying is the exact opposite of polite and you only have yourself to blame when someone accepts YOUR offer if you didn't actually want to provide. there's nothing rude about accepting something offered to you.
