Is this about your j6 tourist visit to our nation's Capitol?

At least you recognized that. It's likely a sign of higher intellect.

Yep. Pretty difficult to advance civilization if everyone has the same groupthink opinion about everything, especially when it's just one person telling them all how to think and feel about anything.

Orwell called it "groupthink". 😉

I remember this like it was yesterday. He had several great burns on Paul Ryan, who told reporters, "I'm one of RATMs biggest fans!"...lol

Now that you mentioned it that way, I'm sure it's happened like that before.

Couldn't imagine where we'd be as a nation right now with 8 years wrapping up of Bernie or Hillary, and Biden, then 8 more years of President Harris. But nah, we gotta be the horror show of the world for a decade plus now. We'll never live this down for all our lives. If we even have a country left

Yep, nationalism is cultish creepy, and so is that song, especially now.

Yeah, that was quite impressive back in 2016 when he lost, ...I think it was 94% of that demographic. Had to be THE most informed voter block in the entire country! But then again, why would anyone vote for the son of a klansman arrested at a NYC klan rally?!

Never like that song anyhow!
Way overplayed.
If rub one out, it'll be to something more upbeat like Twist & Shout! 😋

Going to give it a read and save. There's also "The 14 Characteristics of Fascism" by Dr. Lawrence Britt, which I find myself quoting quite often over the last 9 years that I literally have them remembered by heart! ^Good2Know

Wait, Bezos donated to the fascist's inauguration too?! I knew Zuck did, that's why I'm leaving all things meta and signed up for bsky.app the other day. Believe me, I know about Bezos and what a dick he is! I use to work for him.

What's up with Bezos and the rapist? Did I miss something? I already don't give him my business but what happened?
BTW; Target will price match. Just show them the Amazon price and you can get it today without waiting, and for the same price. Other stores do it too, just ask first if they match.

When you said purple, I just figured, and without extra pictures. I've only seen lots of red Russula and a few greens. Never purple.

I read last night how when MTG started with the conspiracy nutcase stuff, she raked in $3.2 million dollars in the 1st quarter. She's now worth $22 million from donations, with the average contribution being just over $30. This is why Nancy Mace is now playing the nutcase too.

Maga creates their own reality out of thin air, complete with their own alternative facts. It's mind boggling how anybody really believes any of their nonsense. But apparently tens of millions of people do! That's just sad.

...if you were Elmo Musk, you'd need 18,000 semi trucks to move his net worth if it were all in dollar bills. 180 trucks if it was all in $100 dollar bills.
Picture 180 semi trucks bumper to bumper loaded with $100 bills. Why tf does anyone need to hoard that much money?!
comment in response to
post
I like to put it this way, if I stacked one billion dollar bills and I told you that you can have it all, if you physically carry all of it across the street today, you couldn't do it!
It would weigh 2.2 million pounds, or 1,100 tons. About 50 semi truck loads. You just couldn't carry that in a day.

There's a good documentary on about when peaceful protest gets one nowhere and how sometimes things escalate from frustration pleading to a system that's stacked against us all. Well worth the watch! Get some popcorn, it's almost 90 minutes.

Bus money, Uber, taxis, etc can eat up a lot of money quickly when you don't have a car. You'd still need to get around. Any homeless will tell you it's pretty expensive to be homeless! You're constantly replacing stuff you need but lost because you don't have a place to keep all your stuff.

Can you put the car in a trusted friends name? Say you sold it for a couple hundred dollars. Get a receipt. Even with SSD you should qualify for something, even partial helps.

...you *should* qualify for emergency shelter too. Here they have funds to put you in a hotel on a weekly/monthly basis. I think our emergency number is 211 or something like that and they can have you sheltered within hours.

Go get SNAP! Here (NY) it can be completed within a day, even if you don't have an address. It's close to $300 a month for a single person and helps you bank money for transportation and finding work and shelter. Having food is one less problem to worry about.

Overall our city is pretty kind and sympathetic to the homeless. Our library even has offices inside with staff and services to help the homeless with just about everything. I don't know the details but our city was successful finding temporary homes for about 90% of those who were on the streets.

Our library in Buffalo made a really awesome display of banned books complete with charts, graphs, timelines of what books were banned by who and why. There's also huge posters of banned books on the long wall outside along the sidewalk advertising those books are available here! I love our library!

There's a roadway that passes under our library in Buffalo creating like a tunnel wiwide sidewalks on both sides. It's also the back entrance to the library. This is where a lot of homeless sleep on the sidewalk. At least one charity shows up daily with food and clothing. Most everyone is ok with it

Guaranteed they went through the computer and picked the 11,500 people who owed the least. Basically just normal housekeeping cleaning old files. Probably all owed less than $50 that wasn't worth chasing anyhow. And ultimately this stunt was cheaper than what the ad agency was going to charge them.
