Technologically speaking, Golden Dome is possible. Kessler Syndrome is also a genuine concern. Dead satellites need to be de-orbited in a more timely, controlled manner regardless.
The stickier point is the >$550B price tag & lack of careful oversight without which it becomes a vanity project.
