Worth writing about. I think this is emblematic of an antipathy and suspicion because science is conflated with elitism+liberal institutions, 2, ostensible weaponization of science by Govt telling the people what to do, 3. Capitalization of flaws (faking data) to diminish the entire process.

This is an unintended consequence of technique generation that advances science. The problem is that we forget/less incentivized (as you said) or genuinely find it hard to integrate scales of analysis. The less we conflate M&P, less misallocation of funds in the pursuit of therapeutic insights.

Hard to say anything about the science behind the GT here. It is more about the distinct approach (regulatory etc) to gene editing than what we have here. To your point re-AAV9. Maybe it was the starting point for their capsid engineering efforts?

A painting depicting the Revolutionary war from 1910 by Wollen. Where we stood today to remember how ideals prevail over tyranny. Never forget.

David vs. Goliath, the redcoats are defeated as they retreat along the Battleroad trail (one of my fav running trails) en route to Charlestown.. the beginning of the end of the british empire and the birth of America..

Minuteman, valiant and fighting for their ideals, take on Goliath, the British Empire in the Redcoats. Only to be beaten but only physically and not in moral. Redcoats march to Concord..
