Musk must feel like a fool, supposedly all he did with DOGE was cut spending, and the law Trump is pushing increases the debt. A contradiction...

who will always prefer to vote for the original rather than the copy. Reform UK will probably come out stronger.

They will probably lose the next elections. If I understand anything about politics, it's that if a party is supposed to be left-wing but implements policies that are more right-wing, it will lose a large part of its base of support and will never gain the support of conservative voters,

This already seems like racism, do they think every Chinese person is a potential spy?

Does it seem like they want this case to fade into oblivion in the news cycle?

Just today I saw a report on France 24 about a book that was going to be released, about how his family and close collaborators hid his mental decline from the public.

The Trump regime prefers to hunt down brown people in the streets with its ICE-gestapo.

During his previous administration, he wondered why the United States wasn’t receiving immigrants from Norway..

He's the Pope, so I imagine he speaks mostly Italian at the Vatican, although whenever I saw Pope Francis, he spoke a lot in Spanish.

This is not very surprising coming from him; just like Guantánamo or the prison in El Salvador, the idea is to instill fear.

I hope the United States has a blue wave in 2026.

When you thought he couldn’t sink any lower... I’m finding this guy absolutely repulsive. Why should I respect him as president if he doesn’t respect anyone?

Pete Hegseth should be next, the guy is an embarrassment.

He's a negligent guy, but he's willing to obey and be rewarded for it.

With Trump, the fear factor has discouraged migrants from even trying, afraid they might end up in a prison like in El Salvador or in Guantanamo. That’s how, on paper, Obama ended up as the biggest deporter, while Trump did not—at least not yet.
comment in response to post
Well, if I try to analyze it objectively, the difference between recent Democratic administrations and Trump's is the factor of fear. That fear didn’t exist with the Democrats, so migrants kept coming, and their deportation was recorded in the numbers.

As far as I remember, the wealthy American oligarchs preferred Trump, and that message resonated in the media and with the general public because Kamala was accused of being a communist. It's ironic that she's now destroying the economy. You get what you vote for.

He's going to be a truly unpopular president—100 days in, the cost of living hasn't improved, and not a single war has stopped. His voters seem to have amnesia about what he promised during the campaign.

They must believe we are sinners who deserve to go to hell; they behave like an extremist cult. Hypocrites.

Probably non-white families will also benefit, to maintain appearances, but the real target audience of these measures is to increase the birth rate among whites.
comment in response to post
Yes, they are interested in combating the low birth rate among whites, and they are terrified of reaching a future where whites make up less than half of the country's population.

The result in Venezuela is that everyone ended up poor except for those who have connections with the government.

This has always been part of their plan: to deport those children born in the United States along with their migrant mothers, and once they reach adulthood, then they can come back. The idea is to instill fear so that they deport themselves voluntarily.

As far as I could understand, this year's Oscars were also a tribute to independent cinema. Maybe that's why it won.
comment in response to post
It was my favorite movie for the Oscars, I still can't believe that Anora won.

Notice that most of them are conservative leaders who, in theory, would not agree with Pope Francis on many issues.

He is a hypocrite.

American evangelicals are probably thinking that the Pope is in hell or something like that. When I've been around them, they’ve made very unpleasant comments.

Immigration was Trump's strong point, and now he's starting to be viewed negatively on that as well.

Exactly this. I think what attracts them to Catholicism is the aesthetics, the tradition, and the rituals—things that, for those of us who were raised Catholic, feel pretty normal. Also, I don't think they realize that being Catholic is not the same as being conservative.

These people are evil, and they are leading us into a dictatorship with their authoritarian way of governing...
