I did that at a retailer for two years, drove a big one. Got quite good. Only smashed into the rolled up warehouse doors one time! My manager used to hoist me on a pallet with garbage cans way over a giant dumpster, if I had jumped I could have sued, manager agreed, but I couldn't stomach the fall.

Me? I donate to Aclu. Vote everytime I get the chance is that enough? By all means use your voice, I'm just afraid we are past the point where hypothetical rhetorical gotchas are doing anything in consequence. Getting lost in the weeds of bad faith nonsense does as much to validate it as anything.

This answers my capacitors question.

What do you salvage besides tubes? Are all the capacitors shot/dried up or whatever? They look like, and have to be the same/similar, as the stuff in vintage guitars and amps. I guess long question short is vintage capacitors a thing? If not, what do you pull?

I had a boomer masshole professor for psychology 101. He hated it. He was not a psychologist but a cognitive neuroscientist, he wanted to be a tenured researcher but was stuck as adjunct. He told us if you learn 2 things this semester it's use weed and LSD and mushrooms only & trans people are real.

Somewhere between now and the dawn of electronic experts and tinkerers surely you've crossed cosmic paths with another thirsty engineer or technician.

In the arbitrary binary of our national politics one party offered change while other offered the status quo when people were upset across the spectrum for a million different reasons. Its a shame we all couldn't have done better top to bottom.

Watch out for a wedge tornado. Probably most concerning wedge.

From the outside looking in I think the audiophile thing is about the sum total listening experience, more than it is the individual causal bits. Its sitting down to hear an album through a considered signal chain where you are attuned to the nuance of the music by nature of the hifi pursuit itself.

I always tune in for tornado days. I'm watching Max Velocity now. The storms seem to be picking up.
