Jon, I can't help but notice that you're downplaying the fact that Preki is the only two-time MLS MVP and despite this the MVP award is now named after someone else, who only won it once in 15 MLS seasons.

In a time when every club wants to be a "sporting project" or whatever, I though Axel Schuster's thoughts on hiring Jesper Sørensen were incredibly refreshing. Sometimes just hiring the guy who really likes your current players counts for a lot! www.theguardian.com/football/202...

My counter to that counter would be that the act of recognizing that one is unable to give their best to a team (or anything) can be a pretty solid indicator that they do care deeply about it. There are def athletes that ease up, make "business decisions" etc. Don't think CP has been one thus far.
