/2 Bullies and their sycophantic admirers also see wanton and performative cruelty as ways to feel less inadequate, so generally default to that.

I hear you. Trust me, I hear you. Every bone in my body wants to say "I told you so" to these ppl. But that will not help one bit. We need them in order to escape this nightmare.

But JVL is right (as he always is) that for people who get it, "I told you so" isn't useful.

My book is about a modern day Christian Nationalist authoritarian government set in the rural south. 92,000 words. I finished it and then started reading the news again. I think I am going to return to my book. Reality is too depressing.

Giving access to SSNs, other data on government employees to non-employees like Musk is a violation of 5 USC 552a, and carries with it a penalty of $1000 per person whose data was accessed. We are building a case. Govt employees who want to participate should contact me directly

8/ The Republicans have sacrificed the legitimacy of Congress on the altar of obeisance to Trump. They've abrogated the power and role of a co-equal branch of government. Y'all might want to do any and everything you can to save it before its too late.

7/ For both House and Senate, as well as massive Dem superPACs (looking at you, Future Forward) START SUING. I'm not a lawyer, obvi, but any moron can see that Trump's unconstitutional and illegal actions not only deserve but DEMAND court challenges.
