I rest easy knowing they could video-gamify LotR all they want but the silmarillion remains forever inaccessible to them

A decade ago while visiting I took a walk across Tempelhof on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year. Surreal that such a large, open space exists in the middle of a metropolis like Berlin.

You are probably dragging windows around. Newer versions of Window bring up this interface so that you can snap windows to one of three configurations. It’s a more advanced version of when you drag a window to the side to split the screen in half. No you can do quarters etc.

Counterpoint: Bluesky is so big and not dead now that all users can’t stay on the same page, so there are rolling waves of discourse.

One iota of respect to Moore for not throwing a fit on her way out and spending her last days on the council doing something actually productive. If only she had had this attitude towards all those other issues.

Times I have walked down cap hill to enjoy downtown: countless, innumerable, awesome experience Times I have walked back up the hill instead of taking light rail: maybe once, poorly sourced, perish the thought.

I suppose we knew this fragile peace in the PNW wouldn’t last forever. The protest this weekend shaping up to be a huge one.

I only get them at Costco but even then it’s over a dollar a bar when Costco’s own brand is $16 for 42(!) bars. But they’re good and gluten free (unlike Clif) so here we are

Hands down one of the best protein bars I’ve had, and also really high fiber. Yet predictably pricey.

Oh yeah, Typst also auto compiles on their website, so you get instant feedback about your changes. Also their error messages are really good.

My consonant chart has smaller text for "plain", "sibilant", etc. and I didn't need to manually specify each cell. Instead I told Typst to iterate over each cell, and if the cell is in row 1 or column 1, make the text smaller (I'm using combined rows/cols so that's why they're index 1). Very neat!

So I'm not really qualified to speak on this... I taught myself the basics of LaTeX just for conlanging and I started using Typst last night -- but that said, I do really like Typst. It seems powerful and modernized vs LaTeX. It also has built-in scripting which is very useful. For example...

Bit by bit, I've been working on my conlang. I've decided to learn about and use ejective consonants, and I'm tinkering with the idea of a phonemic 4-vowel system. I also switched from LaTeX to Typst so I could make some beautiful, official-looking charts like this one! Grammar sketch soon...
