Maybe I misunderstood you but it sounded like you thought there was some EU conspiracy against American cars? I just mentioned that fuel economy and size has something to do with it, plus people do buy some American cars.

Fuel economy is important here and larger cars are impractical for narrow roads. People do buy Fords and until recently Teslas though who made cars more suited to the European market.
