I am travelling back from near Bordeaux. It was 37 yesterday to be 38 today. Joy of joys when I reach my flat tomorrow it will be a mere 19!!! It will feel like winter.

That's what he is good at. He couldn't lead but he can snipe from the sidelines.

I just get the impression he wants to drop one to see what happens.

We didn't have a fridge. Our kitchen was too small. My mum shopped every day and everything was fresh.

My elderly brother and his friend made up some dried WW1 soup issued to British soldiers in the trenches. I gather it tasted good.

Also Trump is clearly physically ill and may not last his term.

Yes, but think of the ratings she brings just like Farage and his shower. It makes do something different but it gets some watching and many complaining.

These people sometimes get it right. But I wonder what their motivation is.

Possibly, but he almost certainly sensed he was coming over badly and that he was being managed by Carney.

It took me less than two weeks last year to change my passport which was unheard of previously.

It doesn't seem as bad as Friday night. I think the storm went on until 2-3am.

When I was a child I remember reading 20 million for WW1 and 55 million for WW2 the vast majority of which war crimes and not all committed by the Germans.

I think that the death toll was about 55 million for the world. I used to know the estimated Soviet deaths. It was horrendous but nothing like 51 million.

I think my cat has a deeper understanding of world affairs.

If it wasn't so sad for Americans I would enjoy the shambles of this government.

He hasn't a clue so why should we understand either?
comment in response to

The key thing is he is back. Yesterday when I took mine to vet there was someone trying to catch their cat which somehow got loose. It all looked dreadfully fraught.

It's a TV presidency led by a reality star so it probably seems an obvious idea.

Thanks. I know the outline of US history and whilst I knew Grover Cleveland was President I wasn't sure when.

I guess Mr Moore thinks the Statue of Liberty belongs to the family of whoever was President when it was gifted.

He also tries to avoid payment whenever he can. That doesn't really encourage them either.

A friend worked for West Sussex in a senior capacity. He told me of a UKIP councillor who could only attend meetings if his mother took him!

It has a dolphinlike head.
It was lovely to see it as I worked on the restoration of the museum.

I wonder if it is some kind of a fish, possibly a dolphin.

We watch him over here and wonder how anyone takes him seriously.

A deal with Trump is pointless as he would see it as weakness and make more demands. The EU will hold firm, and Trump will have to back down first as it is more able to ride out tariffs than the US.

No more US fish for them. They will just have to 'shop' from local sources.

A bit of basic arithmetic, let alone commonsense, would suggest that taking on a lot of countries at once is going to hurt economically.
