Amazon cancelled The Wheel of Time; I'm inconsolable 😭

still laughing about this. it was literally the first thing I thought of and somehow Play Design all missed it

I cannot overstate how good Blue Prince is! If you enjoy deep puzzle games, ones where notes are absolutely MANDATORY, you'll love it. The roguelite mechanic of the game is really interesting and there are a lot of subtleties to navigating the house. Knowledge is the weapon you carry between runs.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die. Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

The people now in charge of the Office of Personnel Management apparently don’t know how to scrub PDF metadata, and have exposed the original authors of the guidance they’re publishing. Two, Noah Peters and James Sherk, have links to the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.

Executive orders are a fundamental flaw in US democracy. They should have been curtailed and neutered such that they only applied to a very narrow set of circumstances which can only be expanded by congress.
