One particular theory I have is that the Bad Wolf Doctor's appearance matches an aged Rose Tyler living in Pete's World, like Fourteen matching Meta-Crisis. Despite being divided between universes, the TARDIS still remembers them both. 🧵

When the Fifteenth Doctor unleashes regeneration energy into the TARDIS console, that probably results in the Bad Wolf entity resurfacing as Poppy is restored in the new timeline. The Ninth Doctor previously sent the vortex energy into the TARDIS, after absorbing from Rose. 🧵
