I was there too. You describe it perfectly.

Anyway, late last night/early this AM, Boundless CEO Archna Sharma sends out a lengthy email which boils down to “lol soz we said we’d pay you but ACTUALLY Boundless doesn’t HAVE to pay you so we’re not going to pay ANY royalties owed to Unbound because we’re a different company now”

They were fantastic, as always. Made more special this time because I got to take our sixteen year old son, who now loves this band I loved when I was roughly his age.

...and Portsmouth, Oxford, Bristol, Sheffield... a full UK tour. My best guess is the Junction in Cambridge but it was so long ago and my head hurts.

No, it was long before that, in the v early days of 6Music. Just looked it up: Feb 2003. Barrowlands, Astoria... but my aging brain still cannot recall where the third gig was. (I did also go to the Gerry's farewell tour - the Grand Prix/SFNB night in Birmingham)

Now remembering the time 6Music paid me to see three Fannies gigs in a week - London, Glasgow and ? - and wondering if I have the radio package I made about it on a hard drive somewhere.

It's a good list. Fair to the three songwriters. Are there some 'better' tracks from Grand Prix and SFNB missing? I think so. But it would be a less interesting listicle and no doubt the band would prefer it like this, spread over their three decades making music together.
