BTW what a horrible font choice for the back cover. I kept seeing Garv instead of Gary and spy looked like spv (and I mentally added the i to form spiv).

So what is your take on stargazy pie then? Or are you more discerning about pies than burritos?

They still have micro-mouse competitions. The current state of the art is amazing in comparison. ukmars.org/contests/mic...

I remember C&VG when it started. It was 75p an issue in 1981.

I've also seen sheep and pigs (not together) sharing with solar panels in a field.

Trains already stop at Edale - easy walking distance. There is a bus stop virtually at the bottom of the hill too.

And apparently the change is for death by dangerous cycling which surely is a higher bar than careless cycling. Speeding alone doesn't tend to move things into dangerous driving territory for drivers.

Although Caran d'Ache do have some pretty cheap (although not Bic cheap) pens too. I have a fluoro green 849 (mid-price I guess) in my pen pots.

There was a purchase tax on luxuries though. In 1947 that was 66.6% on cars.

I would have thought that X12 vs EDIFACT would be a bit niche for your audience. For me EDI is electronic data interchange.

I think European PYREX is still borosilicate glass, it is the Americas that has pyrex which is soda-lime glass. The switch to soda-lime glass was in the 50s I think. But even borosilicate glass can still shatter.

You don't need to register it to read converted epubs. Install calibre on your PC / Mac / Linux machine, convert the epub to azw3, and then use "send to device" to transfer the azw3 to the kindle.

Oh no. Sad news indeed. Many of us had conversations with David online and at cons and enjoyed his books.

No it is the next version of what was called Heroquest (and Heroquest Glorantha). It is a totally different game to BRP, a lot more narrative based.

Never knew about the Thunderbirds connection - or that they were "girl's lollies" (FAB were the lollies I tended to choose).
