Enjoying a lovely little rewatch of Pacific Rim (the original, obvs) and it’s reminded me of a friendly rivalry myself and mister Phil Kelly have long had: I prefer giant robots, he prefers giant monsters. Which do you like better? And indeed why?

Just finished reading ‘Dark Matter’ by Michelle Paver. I’ve not read it in years and going back to it I had forgotten how deeply and genuinely frightening the last few chapters are. For my money, hands down the best ghost story I’ve ever read. Do recommend it if you’ve not had the pleasure.

An hour’s gardening in soft, light drizzle has just done me the world of good. Weeds pulled where we don’t want them (stuff pollinators wouldn’t care about only, of course) then some more turning the soil of the next stretch of soon-to-be-flower-bed. Good stuff!
