I love how LLMs can readily convert recipes to metric or easily increase portion numbers without some ganky UI other sites have.

I used it for 18 months to create a dashboard quickly for my SaaS. I found it to be cost effective. I have now moved that reporting in house. I wrote a couple of posts on it. djangoandy.com?s=Retool

Side point. If they are talking about suspending it means they know now that it is still in place. So they are knowingly denying people this right.

Native drag and drop admin sorting would be awesome as a feature in django-admin. I have rolled my own (thanks Claude!) but it would ne a great feature to have.

The article links to Django-Q - just be aware you should probably use the more active Django-Q2 if you are a django-q fan like me. django-q2.readthedocs.io/en/master/

Completely agree. People seem to expect that Open Source coders works for THEM and HAVE to help them fix some problem. I do find this to be a very good use-case of LLMs.

I use 'vibe' coding for very simple things when I'm not paying attention - mainly for coding little JS tools (I dislike coding in JS). Once your project gets to a decent size you have to know what's going on. I still use AI to type all the grunt stuff freeing me up to care about UX and Design.

One day Simon will finally get a decent pelican on a bike SVG and at that point the universe will end. All tasks complete.
