You're short, your bellybutton sticks out too far, and you're a terrible burden on your poor mother.

I'd say I hope it burdens your soul but I think you surrendered yours a long time ago.

(I stand corrected, WEEI apparently can broadcast the game on the web. I thought that was blocked/paywalled too.)

Due process is the notion that the state has an evidentiary burden to overcome if it intends to imprison or punish someone, and if it gets to ignore that sometimes, then it's all fake for everyone

Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.
They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

I'm depressed at how many people, including people I know and love and admire...cheerfully use AI to do their thinking. To write the silly email that would take 30 seconds. To write the outline.
To do the thinking.
I get life sucks right now.
But damn, there's FREEDOM in thinking.

The party that has never done anything but seek the center continues to insist that they need to stop catering to the extreme left—something they have never ever done—and continue doing what they have always done, which is continue to seek a center that will always track us further into a nightmare.

The thing about the center is, it isn’t anywhere in particular. It’s just the point between two other points. if your purpose is only to find the center, then you stand for nothing and you have no vision. It’s a total loser; not even a moral victory, because it’s a fundamentally amoral perspective.

The absolute devastation that @chuckschumer.com is about to inflict on D.C. by supporting the GOP’s continuing resolution is hard to overstate. Massive cuts to schools and law enforcement. Teachers laid off en masse. Basic city services may grind to a halt because we *cannot spend our own money.*

These details (including the missing ones) matter, and these two media outlets need to do better, especially since the worst people imaginable are going to town about it on Twitter.

She very well may have been laid up in bed for days after those videos and emails before passing, and Hackman, who had Alzheimer's, may not have understood what was going on at all.
