So far, the biggest effect of having done this in Ontario is the closing of LCBO stores (10 so far, I believe)…loss of union jobs. No obvious upside that I can see.

So, renoviction. My daughter went through this. It should be illegal. So sorry you’re having to deal with this.

My thoughts exactly. 🤦🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️

The funny thing about blocklists is how many of them have 0 subscribers. Mostly just cantankerous losers with chips on their shoulders, or some vapid threshold they object to 5,000 followers!). One account has blocked over 75,000 accounts. It must be exhausting to be so outraged all the time.

I cannot fathom why they think this is a good tactic. Unless they just want to stir up controversy and get their name in the news. This would be the suicide of the party. I want the NDP to prevail. They are the conscience of the country and pull the liberals to the left, which I appreciate.

There are 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary and those who do not.

I have half a mind to object to this joke.

Dividing people with hate and fear, just like his mentor in the United States, Donald Trump.

Same here. Haven’t followed hockey for decades, but I’m really rooting for the Oilers.

Just curious how those people in CECOT are going to acquire legal representation when they’re incommunicado? Asking for a civilization.

Bush had to fill out special forms to get in to Canada due to his DUI. Trump should have to do the same.

Cheers to learning from each other! Death to AI slop!

Thank you for providing me with this inadvertent tip. I need to create a personal website where I provide links to the technical documentation I’ve created over the years. Companies ask for samples and I should create a site that provides a decent representation of what I’ve created in the past.

I did ask. But I can’t respond to you directly so I had to ask by reposting and responding your post. And I’m sorry that it was snarky.

Over 350 resumes. By hand.

Sure are. And it’s killing us real folks looking for work. My friend is VP Communications at a Fortune 500 company. He says 90% of the resumes he receives are fraudulent. And their AI resume parser is such a failure that it can’t surface the real/best candidates. Going through them manually now.

Make it so.

I’m very sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine how hard it must be.

I guess it’s the “my (Democratic) party right or wrong” folks?

I enjoyed the article and agree with your general thesis. My only complaint is that you don’t define what “Blue MAGA” actually means. Is it an ideology? A splinter cell of the Democrats? Lovers of the status quo? What do they believe in? Identify their philosophy, then you can “fix” them(?)

Ah, OK, that makes me feel better. 😊

That is a great resource. I just discovered it a couple of weeks ago, again courtesy of the Facebook group that I belong to. It’s gonna take me a long time to explore all the nooks and crevices of the Tintin mythology. It’s like rediscovering it all over again.

I have all the Asterix books, and most of the Lucky Luke books. I actually lived in Belgium in 1974 to 74 but never made it to the museum. I really wish I had gone. They were such a magical part of my childhood.

Wow. Mine are in slightly better shape than that, but only slightly. The spines are all cracked after multiple rereadings.

English. Did you know that the Thompson twins moustaches are not the same? One is curved (Thompson) and the other one is straight (Thomson). I only learned this a couple of weeks ago as a member of a Tintin Facebook group, and it blew my mind. I had never noticed it. In 55 years.

My mother taught me how to read using the Tintin books. They are a very cherished part of my childhood memories.
