“No Kings Day”: A compilation

'Not even close': MSNBC reporter shoots down White House parade attendance boast www.rawstory.com/trump-parade...

Schrödinger's parade - the crowd was both sparse and dense.

More than 1 million in Boston! www.wcvb.com/article/more...

🤔

Just want to take a moment to shout out the international reporters helping us get the real story out. When an 80-year-old veteran with a walker is hauled off with his hands zip-tied behind his back, and the media spins it as a “threatening breach” of a police barricade

Karen Bass: "There is no comparison [with the 1992 riots]. And unfortunately that is what is being pushed, as though the city is in chaos, there's civil unrest everywhere. For most Angelenos, they're like, 'What city are they describing?' They are definitely not describing Los Angeles."

Padilla on Noem: "How does the cabinet secretary not know the senator from California when she steps foot into Los Angeles? She came through the Senate for confirmation."

Philly showin' up today

We’re closing in on the 3.5% rule! 8.6 million and counting! We’re in awe. Lots of events still happening make sure to be counted. Big towns, small towns you showed up.

Leave it to the cops, if nobody is rioting they will.

"How does it feel to get arrested at 87 years old? He said "I'm just beginning!"

The most consequential Speaker in state history.

Schiff: "In the first administration, there were at least a few people in the cabinet of some independence who could say, 'No, Mr. President, that's a lawless idea, that's a stupid idea.' But there's no one in this current admin to tell POTUS 'that's a stupid idea'... there's nothing but sycophants"

I saw this too

Over 4.8 million and counting and many events haven’t even kicked off yet. We’re aiming for over 10 million today to hit the 3.5% rule. The crowds are massive and still growing. We are so proud of all of you. Huge shoutout to Texas you showed up!

NEW: The alleged shooter is a 57-year-old white male; according to his ministry's website, he “sought out militant Islamists in order to share the gospel and tell them that violence wasn't the answer.” This is a developing story.

The East Coast has shown up, 2.4 million and counting, with massive turnouts in small towns across the country. Shoutout to the Carolinas, Georgia, and Ohio for showing up strong!

Reporter: I'm going to show you what 20,000 people in the streets of downtown Los Angeles looks like

Adding: Hoffman entered public service because he could not get health insurance for Holly, now in her 20s, who was born with a disability and is now an amputee. He’s a relentless advocate. This morning his wife threw herself on Holly and was shot in her stead. MN disability community in shock.

The LA gang wars of the 2020s have begun

I've been tear gassed. 5:15 pm, 300 feet from the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. I was covering the protest in LA wearing clearly marked press credentials.

An absolutely insane number of people lined the streets in Carlsbad, CA (north San Diego county) this morning for the #NoKings ❌👑 rally.

SAN DIEGO ROCKED IT TODAY AT THE "NO KINGS" PROTEST ‼️🔥 I STRONGLY BELIEVE WE NUMBERED FAR MORE THAN 60K👏✊ www.kpbs.org/news/politic... 60,000+ march through downtown for 'No Kings' Day protest, other rallies planned throughout the county | KPBS Public Media

Los Angeles Sheriff just lit up a crowd of peaceful protesters with teargas. Just remember who started it.

Watching an ABC reporter is getting ruffed up by the cops. Cop is accusing him of touching them. He’s telling them no and that they’re on live tv, cop keeps yelling at him. Very tense situation right now in LA.

I 💙 LA ✊🏽

. @shoton35mm.bsky.social can’t take a water break without running into police terrorizing Downtown LA.

I wanna talk about the way LA cops are using horses to harm civilians. I’m a longtime equestrian and current horse owner. Like most horse people, I know what a hoof feels like when it makes contact with your body. It’s hurts. A lot. 1/

LA Sheriffs, CHP and LAPD are acting like animals. It's so predictable. And it once more exposes the absurdity of calling in the guard and the marines.LA cops don't any help violently bringing the hammer down on innocent protesters.

Today in downtown Los Angeles. We will stand our ground and won't back down. #NoKings #ICEProtest

The people running the team know better, too. But they’ve made a decision to bury their heads in the sand and hope that all of this passes before ICE raids the Dodger Stadium parking lot.

Couple things I learned today: - Seniors are extremely fired up about this - "Fuck ICE" is a normie position now - People are MASSIVELY pissed off about Sen. Padilla being wrestled to the ground in LA - We all we got, we all we need

Dramatic moment in Los Angeles as police and protesters face each other One protester with his hands held high asks, "Do we look scary? Do we scare you?" Credit to DJB on YouTube

US Customs and Border Protection special reaction team violently detain a protester in downtown Los Angeles today. Recorded while reporting for @capitalandmain.bsky.social

LAPD shooting impact munitions at a non combative crowd. People just sitting and relaxing on benches leap up with their kids. This is incredibly dangerous. These munitions can and do permanently maim and kill. (Lots of studies exist!) Los Angeles!

One good thing about today in Los Angeles is that the mainstream media was onsite *before* the police started rioting. So many news crews saying "the crowd here in LA is totally peaceful" right before LAPD and LA Sheriff started shooting and trampling people

LAPD and LA Sheriffs tried to prevent two large protests from joining together in downtown and both departments ended up hitting EACH OTHER with impact munitions from across the same interesection.

Chaos as a crowd of demonstrators were tear gassed in Downtown Los Angeles. #fiftyfiftyone #NoKings #LosAngeles

MSNBC reporter on ground in LA right now saying that from what he has seen the protestors have been peaceful but the LA Sheriff’s Dept in particular has been off the chain, quick to use tear gas and rubber bullets in an exceedingly aggressive manner

An advance look at “On Parade,” David Plunkert’s cover for next week's issue. #NewYorkerCovers

America Is No Longer a Stable Country www.nytimes.com/2025/06/08/o...

Defense Attorney Shabazz: “If Kilmar is so dangerous, why did they wait 3 years to indict him on this? They’re only doing that now to justify denying him due process and subjecting him to cruel and unusual punishment (in CECOT).”
