Woah that photo shows him way balder on top than most pictures. Hairdo is slipping.

You know all I can think of is Eddie Izzard's fantastic routine about the 52nd bomb wing parachuting into enemy territory with fantastic makeup... Of course this is years ago when a British transvestite stand comic could make this joke and it was a joke.

And you wonder why they have insecurities about their masculinity....

But then so does Trump. And Vance. All the boys wear more makeup than women do now.

I think another few bullets in Tesla trucks just to make sure the South African Trump fan boy is really completely cooked. For what he's done to me in terms of fear in retirement now that I'm too old to rebuild, I hate him with the power of a thousands suns.

As I am looking forward to attending Trump's funeral.

So agree.

Sigh well time to get off Bluesky. It was nice while it lasted, but now it's going the way of Twitter. Time to start looking for the next app.

No point. The Senate will never actually vote it through. The only possible out is perhaps the 25th. But running yet another impeachment circus just gets the Democrats off the hook for doing real fighting, since they'd use it as their excuse.

I realize you all will disagree with me, but I can't get interested in a little insider trading. Yes it's illegal, but we need to stay focused on the possible complete breakdown of the world financial system, not whether some Trump buddies made a few million extra. It diverts from the bigger problem

Thank you.

Lutnick is an idiot. Otherwise how can one explain his complete tone deafness? What parent dreams of their child growing up to screw in little screws? What American is going to accept the wages that such work offers? We have really all been moved to crazy town one night while we were sleeping.

Me for one.

Who's going to teach them how to read?

What are blackwater types? And I agree with whoever says this goes with the territory. I think most are using that as a cover-up. They want to be important and be in Congress so much that they'll sell their souls, but don't want voters to know that so they say "death threats."

Have donated although I'm in a different state. Most important thing you can do if you live there is try to get out the vote for Crawford.

Definitely Mooney. I grew up in those.

Look he's going to lie. Anything you do at the state of the union changes nothing, and makes you look like a high school kid protesting at the morning all school meeting. Ineffectual. Continue to do activist things outside of Congress and refuse to compromise when actually voting in Congress.

(4) at another country's leader. It spells not Ukraine's doom, but perhaps ours.
comment in response to post
(3)then s/he is not fit to run a country. Why? Because above all, a good leader needs self-control. Lacking the strength of self-control, a leader cannot provide a safe environment for her people to flourish. Today I saw our President and VP lacking all measure, literally raising their voices...

(2) to care for widows and orphans, in other words to care for those less able to defend themselves, which is surely Ukraine in this case. But what I find destabilizing to my core is the lack of manners. Funny thing to be upset about, but if a leader cannot cannot talk in a civil measured way...

Anyhow I don't disagree that I'd like to see Sanders over here, but he needs to keep at it on Twitter. We need to get 8-10 million people either to vote at all or change back from Republican. If -- and I think right now it's a big if -- we ever have real elections again.
comment in response to post
Maybe, but I don't post on Twitter. I left the account of the nonprofit I manage live, in case, but the only time I see Twitter posts is when someone posts a link. And yet when I visit one of those links, I do see semi-sensible people still on there. And a lot of government and business types.
comment in response to post
Yep and for lack of someone to insult, or enough people to discharge their hatred onto over there, they're now coming over here.

Or not thinking down the line further than "if I do this, Biden and Harris will have to notice that I'm pissed, but someone else will make sure Trump doesn't get in. It's not my responsibility." And then of course FAFO.

Yes I'm old too. And I just would like to see everyone including TLP reach out on different media. Although TLP is at least on YouTube... One step away from cable TV which I'm not sure reaches anyone but my generation.

Set your ego aside, Mark. It doesn't matter whether Sanders responds to you personally. He hasn't ever responded to me personally either. But maybe billionaires expect that. What matters is to publicly show your support. It's not transactional.

Alas there are Magas and bots showing up here and on Substacks now. Kinsinger had one heckling this morning I saw.
comment in response to post
No not for me. But my whole point was that maybe the Sanders team doesn't have the bandwidth so they're letting us work with, talk with and reassure each other over here. I can get that. I have so many irons in the fire myself that I have to let worthy stuff go for a while sometimes.

It's an expression. Preaching to the choir, as in trying to convince people who are already members of your group. We will be the troops once there's a plan. So far my plan is to support the heck out of Susan Crawford supreme court Wisconsin since Musk is trying to buy that election.

Here's a sample of you haven't seen this. I wish they had funding to run this everywhere. Apparently it only ran in DC m.youtube.com/watch?v=8QXQ...

Hope you're right and they start taking advantage of it.

Per what I read, only Fox TV which seems to have that ongoing big audience. Old people? Otherwise one of the bigger issues for Democrats is how to get the word out in the places where the younger generations are. TikTok, podcasts. I wish Democrats would ask Rick Wilson. He's doing some great stuff.
comment in response to post
Except so many people still are. 32 million users here as of a couple days ago versus 588 million or some such on Twitter. I don't like it. I refuse to even call it X. But Twitter is an order of magnitude bigger sadly. And no one here but the trolls needs convincing.

Wouldn't there be coding that would easily prevent even copying a post? I'm not that techy but given that some websites or apps won't allow screen shots or copying of text, I don't think it's even a reach. So far, Musk sees it as contributing to engagement with his platform but that could change.
comment in response to post
Yep true. True for some Black voters suspect who were tired of being taken advantage of. And yet money, energy and time are still limited. Sanders is one of the less wealthy members of Congress.
comment in response to post
This is so so important. Indivisable is supporting the election bid of Susan Crawford for Wisconsin Supreme Court. This is happening early April. Please support with funds or phone banking. This is what can help stop Trump and Musk.
comment in response to post
That's the one thing I think is positive about posting here. Although I feel like I'm more seen and read on the substacks of the politicians if they have them.
comment in response to post
I know but even in this age of massive political contributions, there's only so much money to pay staffers to write posts. At a guess, it's go where the voters you need are. We are solid and much as I want them to engage with us, we're the adults and probably have to give up our dose of reassurance.
comment in response to post
That would be helpful. Musk would never allow it.
comment in response to post
Yes but as much as I like this place, because I hear things that reassure me, I think it is. If you're a Senator, staff are doing this. Why pay people to write ads for the people who will vote for you no matter what, because we all hate Trump? My point is there's a reason, I think.
comment in response to post
Well here's the problem. This is a left leaning bubble. All these people are going to protest left, vote left (if there's a vote). But to win, you have to persuade a few million people to come back towards Democrats. Those people aren't here. They're still on Twitter.
comment in response to post
Ok it's simple. You have only so much energy, staff and time. You post where you need to change at least some minds on Trump before next election if there is one, or you waste time and staff over here preaching to the choir?
comment in response to post
Well Mark you're posting a lot of pro-Trump adjacent stuff on here. Or ignoring what's going on. Why would Sanders bother to engage? Just another billionaire hoping for his tax break.
comment in response to post
Methinks the lady doth protest too much.
