The starlings nesting opposite have all fledged. The garden was mad full of them thus morning. Creating lovely chaos in our bird bath. I miss them now.

I did a semester at UR as an undergraduate and it was when 9/11 happened, learnt much about myself and my understanding of the US and felt a connection to the States. So glad to see this.

When I was an actor I wrote to him (he was playing Hamlet & I asked to audition for Ophelia) he wrote back to me, a handwritten note advising me to, “stay fit and healthy believe in yourself and fight for a change of government”& he passed on my CV/headshot. He didn’t need to do any of that. #classy
