I am not surprised. I taught h.s. English for 33 yrs and subbed 13 after that. By the end, students (even advanced) were refusing to read so tchrs. were forced to read aloud, wasting precious instructional time. And no one could fail 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I was against Viet Nam, would have likewise been anti-Korea and have had trouble justifying anything since. Terrorism (9/11) is tough to target as a country. However, WWII is a different story for me.
