BUT: In contrast to these dystopian narratives: reserach does NOT find that much societal polarisation on the level of societies and polarisation does not increase over time (which doesn't mean that some do not radicalize!) - so what happened? /4

Given the high significance of news agency material in journalism, we believe it becomes even more important to reflect on the quality of news agency material and ownership structures and business models of news agencies - especially if one agency dominates a market (such as dpa in Germany).
