Hard to believe it was 5 years ago. Send so long ago, and so recent at the same time.
It is so special to hear it has a lasting impact for those in #VirtualNotViral community. Interesting ways of community building. Was so special.

When I wanted to leave academia, I was worried I wouldn't find a use for my qual skillset because I had bought the idea that quant is more valuable. Actually, the demand for qual skills in applied spaces is HIGH! Soooo much of what we do in evaluation & technical assistance spaces requires qual 💪

I never had Facebook or Insta, and got whatsapp before it was Meta owned. I switched to Signal a while ago, but it's proving difficult to get off whatsapp. If you or anyone else has suggestions on how to relocate people there, it is greatly welcome!

Any breach of ethics stories as well.
Also 100% agree - there are many academics that are unsafe to be around.

I agree with what you're saying. In my opinion it's true, particularly of good quality qualitative research. The refection part is essential.

In relation to #qualitative research, it is important that we can let go of old ideas and assumptions that no longer hold true for us. We need to be able to let go of ideas, in order to welcome and understand new ones.
