Twitter's new encrypted chat platform appears to use PIN-protected encryption keys using the juicebox.xyz protocol. Juicebox seems absolutely fine, but its trust properties are significantly weakened if the keystores ("realms") aren't trustworthy - at that point it falls back to PIN complexity.
