if you're anything like me, you've spent the past week watching glory videos of our goals while avoiding work, and then got smacked in the face with a 3PM deadline for a project, and had no time to do anything else. My call finishes in another 30 minutes though, and then I'll be a wreck.

except their latest player acquisition model has been "buy free, pay high" >.> but otherwise, you're absolutely right. He's borderline generational, and will be immensely successful at a club like Real.

technically, it's correct because he's managed 199 games (so 59.29% win rate). Man United will be the 200th, iirc.

The top two also led competition-distorting projects with the sole aim of whitewashing someone's ill-begotten riches

But also, the extra "-tje" at the end of broer (literal translation of brother) is used to imply your own seniority in a sort of mocking way, essentially making it the equivalent of "lil bro". Unnecessary, perhaps, but adds some extra cheek to the jibe, imo 🤓

yeah, I'm generally pretty tolerant of people's nonsense, but he was one of the few accounts I had muted and eventually blocked on the hell site. Word vomit of the worst variety.

I'd rather they deservedly win it (which it seems like they will do) than be plagued with "What If" questions if we missed out on winning because of all the shoddy decisions we've had go against us. :shrugs:

Fire all the players. That way, they won't get injured.

This radar is genuinely the closest thing I've seen to the Messi "Full-Umbrella" radars from his peak years.

not to belittle your point (and maybe even to magnify it); my premium in the Netherlands (incl. basic + accidental dental coverage) for THE WHOLE YEAR is 10% more than your co-pay. Further, my max co-pay on non-emergency procedures is capped at $400; everything above that is covered. >.>

Especially if you're cis-presenting, and also considered a hopeless romantic/charmer/flirt in the traditional heteronormative sense. But hey, hurray for you (and all of us, too!) <3

I don't have the inclination or photo editing skills to do it, but someone really needs to do a version of the Family Guy "skin colour" notebook check thing, but with different club kits.

Haven't read Seveneves, but reading Snow Crash certainly helped me understand the anonymous-internet-tough-guy trope before it was even a real thing on the internet.

Yeah, but these takes are probably the dumbest of the lot, so you should dunk on them. The sheer ego needed to think you know better than the professionals who are in this nitty gritty 24/7 is just mindboggling. The entitlement also grates on me.

Group Stage = 3 home games, 3 away games. 33 home games means 11 years, so 2013/14. Arsenal were regularly in the CL until 2015/16, and beat Bayern Munich 0-2 at Allianz Arena a couple of times in that era, but I can't remember if that was Group Stage, or Elimination rounds. So not too far off :)

And the ref awarding it was Lee Mason, whose decision-making can't really be trusted, given he forgot to draw the fucking lines as a VAR whose only job is to draw the fucking lines.

To add to this, remember the first yellow MLS got, for going and telling Raya to have a sit down, when MLS wasn't even on the pitch? Guess who gave him that yellow? Now, doesn't that create a presumption of personal bias between the two, especially given Oliver's history of odd decisions against us?

The most vociferous defenders of this decision are all Liverpool fans, who have conveniently forgotten just how massively PGMOL fucked their season last year by screwing up the VAR check on Diaz's "goal" against the Spuds, when all we need is to just agree that PGMOL is, at best, grossly incompetent

Suffers from being an extremely good jack-of-all-trades, but is constantly derided for being the master-of-none.
